Halloween Haunt 2017

The Kids of Durham Region and their parents are all invited to wear their costumes and join us for some Halloween fun. Presented by the Ajax Optimist Club and the Whitby Lions Club, with treats provided by the Rotary Club of Oshawa-Parkwood.

It’s a safe and fun way for young people to enjoy the Halloween experience with their family.

There will be a host of things to see and do, such as a haunted house, witches brew, a torture chamber, the ghostly graveyard, Halloween safety, trick or treat stations, a pirate ship, a wedding in the church, a colouring room inside the Village classroom, and lots of children’s activities. The event is free, but organizers are asking families to make a donation to the Kids' Safety Village major expansion of the classroom to incorporate fire safety so that both key elements, police and fire, will be housed in one facility. The expansion will also allow more children in our rapidly expanding region to attend the safety lessons in the Village.

We are asking everyone to register well in advance so that we will have lots of treats for the kids.

The Kids Safety Village of Durham Region has started to expand its main teaching building with the construction of a new interactive classroom equipped with a full kitchen, living room and bathroom with features that simulate fire and emergency situations. The expansion includes larger washrooms, community meeting facilities and better accessibility throughout the village. Learn more or to donate.
